This is exactly what I was looking for thanks! We don't tow the boat too much but it's nice to keep the option open. Like for instance the boat needs a little bit of work right now and I don't really want to drive the 3 hours to the lake in that old chevy so that I can tow it 20 miles. The premuim thing is expected, but that's not too bad. Are there any other negatives I should be aware of with this thing? I'm really wanting to do this to my truck once I sell one of my motorcycles for the dough.

I've got a 2TR supercharged on a Short Wheel Base Toyota Prado. The kit is from a different vendor. The truck is running great with the supercharger, but the owner was very disappointed to lose a drag race with an FJ Cruiser miserably. I didn't expect him to beat an FJ Cruiser, but I was wondering how this kit fairs in a drag race with a V6. He has a four-speed auto without any mods done to it, so that's probably another reason for losing.

Gadget, any news on this HiLux kit? We need it bad here in the Middle East. The HiLux uses a single narrow-band O2 sensor, unlike the Tacoma and Prado, which use two sensors, a front wide-band and a rear narrow-band.

Good for you. Let us know how it performs. I'm interested in seeing how it fairs against a V6. Is yours a manual or an automatic?

dcvt, you will be amazed at the workmanship that went into this kit. I have been an avid Mustang'er for the last 15 or so years and have done multiple forced induction installs using various vendor's kits, and I must say this one is up there when it comes to fitment, finish, etc.

Thats awesome to hear. I've been building hondas since the mid/late 90s and ive seen a lot of crappy stuff come and go.

I'm really excited to get this kit installed and running.

Guys, sorry for the delay on this update. Install was finished 2 weeks ago then I went on vacation. Overall we were very impressed with the kit. Instructions could have been better. Power increase is very noticeable. Love the blow-off sound; it really turns heads!!! The wheels are Black Rhino, not sure on the size. Tires are the new Toyo R/T's-35 12.50's.

I'm wondering how your truck was moving at all with those tires, before the supercharger.

Got my kit all installed. Been driving it for a little over a week.. What a difference. The truck is so much better to drive in pretty much every situation. The install wasnt too bad. A couple of things in the kit dont work out exactly as intended, but easy enough to work around.

I am having a bit of a belt alignment issue, I've yet to dig in to see why, or ask Gadget about it.

For anyone with the kit installed, how is the alignment of the belt from the charger pulley to the engine side idler that is on the charger bracket. Seems like the charger should be about 5 mm more towards the front of the truck. But, the design doesn't allow for any type of adjustment there.

    Some pics for reference..

Judging from the pictures, I think you just need to use the inner seven ribs of the supercharger, not the outer ones. So just jump the belt one rib inwards, and your alignment may be right.

The instructions state to use the outer ribs. If I went to the inner it would bring the belt closer and actually rub on the allen head supercharger mounting bolt. And push the belt further off the idler towards the engine. Its almost as if i need to go outward one more rib, but of course its furthest out now.

I guess I should let the experts chime in, I've never laid hands on this kit before.

dcvt16, I had the exact same issue on this truck. I just took a dremel and ground down the heads of the two lower blower mounting bolts to acquire the clearance for the belt. I think a revised bracket should have the two lower holes slightly recessed to remedy this issue.

I will probably resort to something like that. The problem still remains that the supercharger pulley is not quite in line with all the factory pulleys and the installed idlers. Seems to me if Urd machined just a few more mm off the backside of the mounting bracket (only where the supercharger mounts) that would bring the pulley in line with everything else. Then no rubbing and no belt hanging off idlers.

I may end up pulling the bracket off and having it machined. The last thing i want is to be 100 miles out in the middle of nowhere and have belt failures.

    Edited for content.
