I understand that Sweers has just released some good new for the Gen 2.5. They will now be including an Apple Iphone 4s mount.

You can't bash the Tacoma's air dam, as it does NOT decrease approach angle. You would have to ruin your bumper to knock that thing off. Sounds like they did right to me.

Guess I haven't looked closely at the new Taco's air dam, but I know the GMC is a low rider in the front.

I saw it in their online brochure, so I like the air dam, it helps MPG. Yeah, the GM twins air dams do decrease approach angle I believe.

Now that I have had time to think critically I would like to articulate my position on GM's product line, and I can assure you that it's not overly complex or redundant; they suck!

It also draws engine compartment air by creating low pressure under the air compartment

I didn't know that! What about the undercarriage, and the heat from Trans and exhaust? Are those hotter because of less airflow underneath or cooler because of low pressure? I figure it may be different since they're in direct contact with air

The air coming from the engine compartment will then travel around the Trans and exhaust so they might be hotter. But at these speeds on Highway the Trans is so hot that there will be a large temperature difference

But not only is hot engine air on them, but you're cutting off their cool airflow with the dam is what I'm getting at

The air coming out of the engine compartment isn't that hot at speed. It will still be pretty cool compared to the temperature of the tranny. And if you get the tow package it comes with an oil cooler

Okay then if that's the case, I wouldn't mind putting an air dam on mine!
