Just recently picked up a brand new Silver Sky Metallic Tacoma Double Cab, non TRD. Had to replace a 1998 Ford Ranger extra cab that was sucking our blood ($) with repairs. Sorry , Ranger, but "Bu....Bye!". Looked at used Tacomas but a few more dollars equalled brand spanking new, so the bullet got bit.
Unfortunately, "Really, Toyota??" what is up with the cheap sounding stereo? Our '05 Tundra's stock stereo kicks compared to the new Tacoma's. I understand Toy. wanted to cut costs but, to me, new vehicle means the stereo DOESN't need to be immediately replaced due to sounding like transistor radio from 1970! Sheesh! That is my only complaint. So I am on the Audio forum trying to figure out which way to go on getting serious sound improvement for not too many dollars.
Love the Tacoma's. If the Ford Ranger was still available, my wife might have convinced me to look there but to be honest, that old one left a bad taste in my mouth. Several thousand dollars in repairs and still was about to poop out with only 146K on it. That ship is gone from THIS harbor. Thank you New Tacoma!

    Peace,
    TomBow
