Are you saying you bought it for $36662, drove it the equivalent of 6 fuel ups and then sold it for $33400?

$27900. Paid $29500 Getting a 16 at $500 above Invoice so I don't mind the loss. Sometimes I make money buying and selling vehicles sometimes I lose. I's all good.

    CarMax offered $26K yesterday

HAh no.......At least I Hope I don't sell the 16 for a long long time. My wife doesn't believe I will keep it. But it will be a keeper which is why I need to get what I want, and not settle for less. I bought the 15 knowing I would keep it ONLY if i did not like the 16s ......but I like the 16s and especially the HP increase and the tech. I got a price of $36660 OTD for a Limited 4X4. Waiting on pricing for a TRD Sport 4x4 with FP and towing. I will tool around in the MX 5 while I wait.

I don't think I could have gotten any more. I really did not want to sell it so fast but I had it up for $28900 so the buyer got a good discount. He can buy new for $28500 which is invoice. Last time I sold a vehicle early wa the Vette and Instead of waiting for the new ND Miata I bought a 12 and love it and saved $12,000 not buying the new one. That's the money I am using to pay for the Tacoma along with my sale money. I don't expect to use all of it. $10K will buy the top of the line Limited 4x4.

Sales tax is 8% here but. on registered vehicles boats, RVs planes bikes, sales tax is capped at $300. A small property tax is paid every year at registration dependant on the value .

No I just found a small dealer . They know I would not be buying a truck from them if they priced it near my local large dealership. They will quote a great price to anyone who calls.

Yeah it is really helpful when financing especially, No one wants to finance TAX. SC gives us a break buying cars. but hoses us a little every year when registering the vehicle. We pay a property tax with registration.

Ford has $9000 discounts on $45,000 F 150s here That's the problem with resale and Ford. Ford incentives don't hold up the used market like Toyota's LACK of incentives, I could never get $27900 for mine if Toyota was selling the same vehicle at a $3000 discount.

Oh yea, Obviously, thats part of the reason we are toyota guys. Just expressing that there are dealerships that dont charge tax, of course itll probably be hard to find a toyota one out there. I actually got in on my purchase during a 2 day promotion where they were selling with no sales tax. I had already planned on buying it and showed up and what a pleasant surprise that was, caused me to pickup my taco a week or 2 earlier than I had planned! This was years ago

I bought my Tacoma in some small town in South Carolina. Drove 3 hours, stayed overnight. They gave me what I wanted and delivered it to my door.
