I have 2 broken springs, one on each side. I have been waiting for 1.5 years for tis recall and there is currently no stock in Canada. Sent a letter to the CEO for Canada a coupel weeks ago to see what happens

I took in the company 08 last week for the frame inspection. I asked them to look at the broken springs. Toyota replaced both before they would even complete the rust inspection. Even got us a rental for 4 days until the parts came in.

My rear springs are sagging more and more. It's causing the new tires to wear very quickly, and the truck wallows around badly.

I'm sure this issue is causing all of you to have short tire life too.

This is an EPA issue folks, as tires shed a lot of carbon, etc, when they wear, and now we're going to be putting excess tons into the atmosphere.

The thing is, I don't think the EPA would ding Toyota for this. They'd probably just finger the owners as a bunch of gross polluters and bench us until Toyota (or we) fix the problem.

My 2006 Dbl Cab TRD has TWO leaf packs. The thing bottoms out all the time and sags. The previous owner never took it in for the AAL I guess.

I'm really annoyed at the dealership and salesman who sold me this 2005 Tacoma PreRunner SR5 a month ago, without any mention of this 'pending recall'. This is not the reliability I've come to expect from my Toyota vehicles.

Just got back from 5000 mile trip to Colorado, Utah and Wyoming. Towed motorcycle trailer and truck bed was loaded heavy. Saw many miles of rough roads.

I must have eyeballed those leaf springs everyday fearful they would break, but they didnt.

I have Firestone air bags over the factory leaf springs......you can adjust the rear vehicle level and suspension firmness easily with air pressure.

Has any one that has gotten the new spring kit done with the frame recall noticed any serious squeeking, creaking ?

First few months went great, now, the truck sounds like the little old lady with the hip fracture I picked up off the floor last week. It is driving me up a wall

My drivers side, #3 of 4 leaf spring snapped in the last month. Using hose clamps to keep the other half in place. Funny cause the these were the upgraded 4 leaf springs my dealer kindly installed in 2007 per the old TSB. The Pending Recall states that 'if condition has already occurred' the dealer will replace at no charge, so they are. Will get new springs installed next week.

They also tested my frame, it failed. So they are getting me a frame later this year too. Gonna be a new truck when all said and done.

Yes! Squeeking like crazy. Autozone has some pb silicone spray that I've been using. It works but it's messy. Where safety glasses and a surgical mask and go to town. Still makes a little noise but not as bad.

Clearly Toyota is Slow Walking this issue.

Leaf springs will never be available for replacement unless existing ones on truck are broken.

However if a gas tank ruptures and someone is burned as direct result of leaf spring failure, things will start happening very fast at Toyota.

Yep, have the exact same problem.

Had the frame replaced last Nov. and about two months ago the new leaf springs that came with it started squeaking loudly any time there's front to back weight transfer when I get on the gas.

It's bad enough that even my wife commented on it and she's usually completely oblivious to anything automotive.
