Or short bed. What's your experience on hauling 1/4, 1/2, 1 cord wood? How many trips?

are we talking balsa wood? or iron wood? The only limit would be weight I would think.

1/4 cord of mixed oak/pine fits in a DCSB. The rear springs hardly sagged, truck handled fine, smoother ride, bit longer to stop.

My 2015 ac weighs 4440 pounds with me, my briefcase and a full tank of gas. Door sticker says 5500 mgvw, so 1060 pounds to spare.

With green wet birch i can fill the floor of the bed with rounds or splits standing on end and be cutting it close.

If you are handling any kind of volume a trailer makes a lot of sense.

That's fetish porn. I'd almost say NSFW, but I work in the woods...so I can tug one out if I need to.

I assume they call out mile markers on the CB to give you a chance to give them room...? Some of our guys haul ass and don't call miles, but most don't want to run over the general public.

How much wood could a Toyota truck truck
If a Toyota truck could truck wood?
As much wood as a Toyota truck could truck,
If a Toyota truck could truck wood.

My apologies to Tacoma World and Mother Goose.

If you buy a cord of wood and it fits in your bed, you got cheated. No way will a full cord fit (not talking weight, but volume) in the bed of the Tacoma.

A lot of times when people say "cord of wood", they really mean "face cord".

A face cord will fit in a Tacoma, a full cord will not (not even close).
