I really wish they would do a review on the peasant trims (sr/sr5), I have no interest in loaded up TRDs or limited.

Sometimes it's not up to the reviewer but the manufacturer who decides what model gets set out for review. Consider it like a commercial for the truck. Toyota would like to sell the loaded up trucks.

That article mentions GVWR went up. Looking at the Toyota PDF https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/all-links-to-reviews-specs-and-videos-for-2016-tacoma.387342/
I see from the PDF that the 4WD payload decreased from the 4WD 2015 Taco in both AC and DC configurations (apx 160 lbs). But the curb weight went up (apx 260 lbs). So I suppose that accounts for the higher GVWR for the 2016?????

If you delve into the review, it lists 0to 60 times as 7.0 to 8.5
That is real good news. If we assume that the 8.5 is the four auto, it equals the Vanza six auto with the four cylinder which is 8.4. Though not particularly fast, it makes the four much more drivable and equal to to the 200 hp four in the Colorado. This is very good news for four lovers and no reason to diss the four. It will be a reasonable choice in the two wheel drive models !
