    Sub'd. I'm also really considering getting this same setup for my truck. I've seen the package that headstrong has and it seems like an awesome price. Are you guys putting 1/4" spacers on both sides or just the drivers side for the full 3" lift? That's the only part I'm a bit confused about.

    Just driver side. You won't get a full 3" of lift up front with just 887s...well I didnt. At first I did but it settles a bit. I actually like it better now though

    Don't get me wrong, I love the look of them. But I have honestly never, ever needed them.

    I was getting 20mpg's when I ran 265/70/17's, now I get 16. They're heavier and you can feel a pretty good drop off in power as well.

    I've also been riding around spare naked which is just a terrible idea. If I go back to 265/70's I can tuck a spare right up in the stock location.

    So the only benefit I can find for 285's is that they look so badass. Everything else seems to be advantage 265. Well, an inch more ground clearance with 285's as well.

    Almost everyone running a 3" lift is on 285's so it's been really hard to find a picture of one with 265/70/17's. And those that I have found are using stock wheels or no where close to the -12 offset I'm running. I think with the wider offset the 265's will still look good but I'd really like to see a picture before deciding.

    265/70/17 BFG RT's, FJ 17" rims with 1.25" spidertraxx Debadged, HID's, URD short shifter, Bilstein 5100's in the front, TSB and 1" block rear, URD TCAI with maf calibrator, JBL long tubes, DT Y pipe, Gibson exhaust, Walbro 255 fuel pump, Pioneer stereo, Bak flip G2 tonneau, TRD skid plate, MB Quarts all around with dynomat, Viper Alarm with motion sensor
    This is why I'm staying 265/70r17. I have stock FJ wheels but spidertraxx wheel spacers, have a semi-aggresive tire, and am only 2.5 but I like the look.

    I'm running 265s as well, been wondering about increasing for some more ground clearance. Been looking at 275s though as well.. Any thoughts?

    Not at all, Glad to read your post, (and those like it) because I really want to get the 887's as I feel that is all I need and considering I already have 5100's installed I'm really not into replacing something that doesn't need replacing.

    I want to see the same info. I have 885's now but am thinking about going up to 887's, or just adding spacers on my 885's to get closer to 3".

    I have ome shocks and 887s, installed about 3500 miles ago. I can grab some measurements after work.

    I'm in 4wd dcab and right after install, I think I was sitting a hair below 3". Not sure where I am now...

    Same here but with 884s. I want a little more height and Im about to add some weight. Not enough weight to warrant the stiff 886s tho.
    I'd appreciate it.

    Just remembered to run out to the driveway and measure for yall...

    I am at 22.75" on the drivers side and 23" on the passenger side, measured from the center hub to the bottom of the fender.

    I have a little under 3/4 of a tank and I was parked on a slight incline with the front end downhill (not sure it makes any difference). And I don't have any armor or sliders, but do have an ARE Z-Series camper on the back.

    If I remember, I think my before lift numbers were right at 20" on the passenger and a little less on the driver. Looks like I haven't lost anything in 3500 miles.

    And I just went back to the OME thread and looked at my post right after I installed, I was around 3.25" and 3.5" of lift originally... So it did settle a bit
