The ac in my 07 taco is blown, and has been for awhile. I took it to the shop awhile back and they called me immediately saying it was fine and still charged me 60 bucks, so when it stopped working the next day i called them inappropriate names and just lived with it. but now i feel i found a clue. the light behind the fan switch on my panel doesn't light up like it should, should i buy a new temperature control panel or just mess with the resistor or could it be something else. Help plz k thx.

There is an AC relay switch I replaced in my 4Runner that fixed it. A cheap try and see. Will have to google it as I am about to go into surgery and can't look it up for a while.

    Are floor mats a mod?
Turn it to fan speed 4. If it blows, the problem is the fan resistor and harness. Takes about 10 min to fix. The light issue is just a bulb. 1 min fix.

I think OPs AC does not work on any setting. Mine doesn't either - about to go check the resistor, if its not burned ill try taking the motor out and cleaning it.

OP my AC was not working at all, but when I went out to check the resistor I first tried hitting the bottom of the glovebox a couple times. Fans started right up no problem. I pulled the resistor for fun and its a little burned, might be a problem in future. For now, I would say I just need to clean the fan motor

My 07's AC blower stopped working a few months ago. I needed a new blower, under $200 and a couple of hours at an independent shop. It had 150,000+ at the time so I'm not complaining. The only part that has been replaced except tires, brakes, and battery.

    Click my build thread!
Every once in awhile my 07 will do the same thing man I can turn it to full heat or air and I get nothing. Someone told to reach up under the glove box area and just hit around with my palm (while the heat/air is turned to high) so I did it the next time it wasn't coming on for me and BAM it kicked on. I don't know shit about A/C stuff but whatever is under my glove box I have a feeling is on it's last leg. I've just been to lazy to take it to the shop and get it replaced. Oh and also just giving it a small kick with your foot works if you don't feel like hitting it with your hand lol.
