Guess it's one of those things. Went for a 2 hour drive fishing the other day, and my friend said 'I didn't want to say anything, but I felt like we've been in a helicopter for the last two hours'. I don't want to run around town with it loaded up just to avoid noise.

Haha. If ya use that logic, there'd be nothing to complain about on TW. It's an f'n truck, after all:). I think we all LOVE Zach's rack (that doesn't quite sound right...) & I don't see anything wrong with trying to make it fit each of our own personal needs even better.

Anyway, wish I could afford to get the matching cab rack. Someday!

Do you have some pictures of it installed? I get reports of noise from time to time but it seems like yours is extreme. Wonder if something else is amiss that would be contributing.

Still have the bungee on there, but pics attached. I've tried the lowest setting and didn't make any better. Might drop it back down to see what that's like with the bungee.

    Not enough...
Supposedly reduces noise by breaking airflow or something....

There is a shop not too far from me that has a wind tunnel for cyclists. Wonder how much it costs and if they would let me bring in the rack and test it.... for science! Not sure how much use it would be testing a rack without it being installed on the truck.

Run the wiring for my 40in Heretic bar today. 1/4in thick wire fits snug but looks nice and no drill!

    Can't even tell its there!

Looks good. Do heretic bars have covers? It's illegal to run light bars on your roof without them covered in California and I want to run one.

For everyone that has done this, have you noticed any difference when it's training and using the windshield wipers?

I don't see why it would effect the rain on the window. Water can still run down the side.

Correct, but isn't that the rain channel for the drivers side of the window? Just curious if anyone has noticed a difference in how the water is shed? :notsure:

This could be a huge selling point if they do.

Zach, your rack makes a great xylophone. I drug the rack under more trees than I care to say this past weekend at Trees Ranch. I also pushed a few trees out of the way on the tippy sections. I'm happy to report that the rack held up just fine through all of the abuse.

It was originally posted in Live. They are continuing the main talk there. I'm just trying to help spread the word. There is a Facebook page if you do that sort of thing.
