Last Friday, Limp Bizkit and Machine Gun Kelly.

Bizkit kicked ass..finally got to see them. MGK is one I'm not familiar with but will be checking out.

My last was Volbeat (#14) in Grand Rapids, MI. I was not surprised to see at least a 1/3 of the crowd leave after they were done and 5 Finger Death Punch went on. I guess it has been happening a lot on the tour.

Powerman 5000 and Wayne Static in a couple weeks.

I went to KNOTFEST This last weekend. It is 3 day Metal festival, complete with a roller coaster, carnival games, lots of fire and motocross stunts. Headliners were Atreyu, 5 finger Death Punch, Volbeat (my fav :D) and of course Slipknot. It was insane. So much to see and do, $30 for like 12 hours of live bands! Atreyu was great, played a cover of "Shot through the heart" that was awesome. Volbeat is my new favorite, a Danish band that has a unique bluesy sound intertwined with hard rock and they played some Johnny Cash. 5 Finger Death Punch, was good but the lead singer was a drama king, and actually changed 4 times during the show, which was a downer because after every song the stage went black for a few minutes. They played another good classic cover of "Bad Company" that was impressive. Slipknot didn't come out until about 45 minutes after 5FDP to "set" up the stage. The stage was AWESOME! So many lights and pyrotechnics, with 2 moving lifted stages for both percussion dudes. We honestly did not stay very long after Slipknot started playing because it was so late and we were exhausted and had to work bright and early next morning. One of the coolest moments of the show was the time everyone in the audience put their phones/lighters up and you got to see thousands of lights throughout the venue.

Sounds like a fun show KayStrait..I wish they would tour with Knotfest like the good old days of Ozzfest.

Must have been a bad night for Ivan (5FDP) he's usually a much better frontman. Seen them a few times..

    This past month:

    Limp Bizkit/Machine Gun Kelly

    Judas Priest/Steel Panther

    King Diamond

    Kreator/Arch Enemy

Yeah I mean 5FDP was great, but he just made it very obvious during the show that he was upset that Slipknot had a better stage, more pyrotechnics, and such. He was complaining during the show, and was showing a lot of anger towards Slipknot, who was obviously the headliner and promoter of the event. Not only that, but he even stayed on the stage an extra song or two, even after they told him, his time was up. He was pissed! It made things interesting. I know that before the event, I had heard that a few bands including Atreyu, were getting into some tiff about exposure and who was going on before everyone else. A bunch of metal drama. hahha

Granted it seems common sense that it's their tour so it will happen. I've heard in the past Slipknot can be tough to deal with in general as well too, who knows. Sounds like Ivan Moody lived up to his name perhaps :)

If you like 5FDP, you should check out Motograter. I saw them about 10 years ago, that was Ivan's band prior.

Metal drama I can do without for sure..just STFU and play for the people who paid to see you already. Reminds me of Axl Rose's bullshit..and sadly he still hasn't grown up, 3 yrs ago he dicked around for about 90 minutes before taking the stage. A few years ago, Motley Crue got all butthurt on Cruefest because Godsmack got a better reaction.

In October my wife and I went down to Portsmouth,VA and saw Judas Priest. She introduced me to their music in college and I've been a fan ever since. We were able o see them 10 years ago at Ozzfest. They still know how to blow a place up with sound! Awesome show!

I will be seeing The Priest on Thursday night. Can't wait! Last show was TOOL in March in Vegas. TOOL is hands-down the best live show I have seen. Judas Priest holds the record for loudest outdoor show I have been to though (Painkiller Tour in 1991). That shit was loud!

Saw them last year in Eugene Oregon. While the music was fine, the show itself far from the best that i've seen. I would categorize the stage presence of the band as boring. Nothing going on.

Wow, this thread died.... I've had a busy summer concert wise. Rush, Dierks Bentley, Def Leppard / Styx / Tesla, Zac Brown Band, and Van Halen so far. Jason Aldean coming up next weekend. With work and other events, I've missed a few shows I wanted to see. But it's been fun.

Saw Avatar for the second time last Friday night. I have been to a TON of shows at The Machineshop (small but semi-famous venue) and this was one of the best. Mushroomhead next weekend.
