I have a 2006 tacoma prerunner sr5 2wd. I am currently running on 31" street tires. They are Nitto dura grapplers. (dont know the exact tire size) and 18" rims. they clear fine with no lift. I am wanting to upgrade my tire size to a 32-33" all terrain tire like Nitto Trail Grapplers or Toyo M/T. I need some suggestions on what tire size and type would be the best out of these two, again im not wanting to go bigger than a 33" tire. also i need to know what would be the best options to clear a bigger tire. I was told that you need to get a 3" lift but i was curious if i could clear the tires with just a leveling kit. the back seems to have plenty of room for a bigger tire but not the front. any feedback or advice would be great. thanks

Depends on the offset of the wheel and how much you're willing to trim.

Well im not wanting to trim anything if possible, minor trimming would be fine though. And i know nothing about offset.

Bilstein 5100 @ 2.5" 2.5" Magnaflow KC ligth bar / 30" LED Bar Pirelli Scorpio MTR 285/17R16 on Helo Max 16x8 wheels
With adjustable Bilstein 5100 set at the highest position (must be around 2.5") up front I installed 285/75 16 but needed to remove the front mudflaps and trim a little on the flares (behind the mudflaps). I have those tires on Helo Max6 wheels 16x8 with 4.5 backspace. With this setup I have no rubbing issues on-road. Off-road? Haven't tested yet but I don't expect much rubbing since I only do light trails.

3" front 2" rear. I'm running 33s with no spacers. Rubbing only on full lock.
