I'm brand new to the forum so I hope I'm posting this in the right place.

I need to replace the rear wheel bearing and seals on my 2000 Tacoma. Does anyone in the Seattle area have the factory Special Service Tool required the press the bearing assembly on and off? If not, is there shop in the area (besides the dealer) you'd recommend taking the axle to that could do it for me?

It's less Tacoma and more mod
Hmm, I'm pretty sure just about any shop can do this job with or without the tool (pretty basic job). I vote for Pacific Rim Auto Repair in Seattle. They rebuilt the whole top end of my engine and the guys there are super willing to help with any automotive question or service. Plus you get a free loaner vehicle while they do the work, I chose the 4Runner but they have plenty of other loaners.

Pull the axle and take it to your local machine shop

Napa should be able to do it if you bring in the axles and parts.
