Do you live or work in the SW metro area by chance? I think I've seen this truck on Bowles a couple times. It's a sweet rig.

to many to list, check the build thread
I think that trail you are curious about was considered argentine pass at one point, it connected all the way to Peru creek. the sign on the gate in my photo on the events thread says something about argentine pass if I remember right. Jen and I were going to hike up that day but a storm was coming in, that basin below argentine area is supposed to be beautiful on the Peru creek side. Looks like a fun day, sad I missed it guys!!

Today's mission was a failure.... I still have no idea what I hit on Coney Flats that bent my spindle.

I nudged everything on the passenger side of the trail all the way down to see if I could figure it out but I couldn't. I guess it will remain a mystery.

The side goal of shaking down the rebuilt front end was a success though I guess. Nothing fell off, truck still drives great so

    Picture test....
Let's see if I figured out Google's shenanigans.
Tell me if you can't see the pics

Going to make this short and sweet because wheeling over 4 days and all details would be a looooong post. First I just want to thank @NYCO for all of his awesome knowledge of the areas around Telluride. We left Friday and ran 6 different passes down into Telluride and back. Started off with Schofield which gave us a huge butt pucker running the punch bowl in the pouring rain. I couldn't get any good footage because it was raining too hard.

took a little break after running punch bowl

this was before and after schofield haha

Went down to do Engineer. Probably should have camped and ran it in the morning because by the time we got to the top it was like this...

Clouds were pretty low when we started black bear the following day but by the time we started our descent it opened up and was perfect.

    before heading down

heres a screen grab from my go pro before dropping down the switchbacks

Ran Imogene from Telluride over the following day. Waaaaaaay too many jeeps on that trail haha.

Ended up camping not too far from Salida last night and coming back early this morning to beat traffic.
Had to test the new inboard setup

Great time as usual being out on the trail with friends! MSV seemed way more eroded than when I last ran it a year ago

I looked it up and the side we came up IS known as Argentine Pass RD. On the Peru side it is known as Argentine Pass Pack Trail. I am gonna go back in a couple weekends and hit up the McClellan Pass Road as well and see where it ends up.

I went up argentine to the top a couple weeks ago to the point where it looks over into the Peru creek basin. It's a great view and a shame that it's no longer passable by vehicle down into the basin.

Here is the flyer the gergetown historic group (mine stewards) were giving out when I went up in July. One of the guys told me all about it but I don't recall exactly. 0a3fe0296616784b8a93244580241659_3dd9c9196f97e50f3ed982da8d28c60e36b402c3.jpgd6c73822d064ffc1fb8c1a42df05822c_909efb7cf030df82bbc58561235a661efa90b359.jpg he said the something about a tram/trolly that still runs in georgetown and they do historical stuff around lots of the local sites

Thanks for posting Andy. This flyer was actually on those fences blocking the Santiago Mill area. I wonder if the guy was talking about the Georgetown Loop train. That's a fun, relaxing ride.

Finally got a chance to get all these pics edited and uploaded. I wont bore you with all the pics of my truck. I got a few good shots of the scenery which I'm sure a lot of you guys have seen. It ended up being a gorgeous day. I don't think we could have asked for better conditions.

Definitely look forward to more trips like this, however it is demanding. I left my house at 7am from the springs and I didn't get home till almost 1030pm. I was freaking pooped! I enjoyed meeting everyone though, and look forward to wheeling with you guys again as well as others. Big shoutout to @CoTacoTRD for organizing this and leading us about 95% of the trip.

If anyone wants the full size pics I can email them to you. Just message me with your email.
