I want to color match my Tacoma's topper, its blue right now and my truck is code 209 black sand pearl so I'm wondering what the best option is to get this color other than rattle cans and pens.

I'm not 100% sure how much paint i will need to do the topper so if anyone could offer some information regarding the amount i will need and the best option for purchasing in larger containers i would appreciate it!

I did find this, just don't know if its good or not.

Sorry if this isn't the right place for this, i didn't see a paint section.

    Thanks!

Can you rent a spray booth locally in your area? I would just buy a cheap Harbor Freight HVLP gun.

No clue on that paint but $90 a quart seems pricey, is that the going rate?

I can't help you on what you need to do it yourself... But I spent last Friday getting quotes to color match my camper top. Low end was Maaco, @ $450 and high end was my local Toyota dealer @ $580. I am going with a local paint shop who said they would do it for $500 with a lifetime guarantee.

On my top there isn't much 'glass to paint. It's the prep work that brings the cost up. Removing all the windows and seals, sanding the old paint, and then putting it all back together.

Keep all that in mind, unless you just want to tape everything off... Be easier that way, but you run the risk of leaving a blue shadow around the windows.

I decided it wasn't worth my time to strip it and try painting it myself!

Good luck and post some pics of the progress and results!
