What are the pros and cons of running spacers? Horror stories? I will be leveling my truck tomorrow (eventually go 3 inches within a year) and run TRD PRO's 285/75's. Just wanted to get the experienced folk opinion.

Those are wheel spacers not coil spacers.

You may not have a choice with OEM wheels if you put wider tires and a lift because the tire may rub on a protrusion on the knuckle. Take a look back there and you'll see what I'm talking about. You may also need longer wheel studs if you get the 1.25 inch. When I put in the Spidertrax, my OEM studs were about a 1/4" short; I could see about 4 threads on the nuts. I put in 50mm studs. http://www.wheeladapter.com/wheel_studs.php

Been a couple months no issues under lots of circumstances. I'll report back in a few weeks when I get my new rims and tires not sure if they'll clear my gussets yet

The bearings on the passenger side went out after about 60K with them on. $350 fix later problem solved. Sucky part was they went out on an island. Had to craw it onto a ferry to get back to a repair shop.

Not at all out of the normal realm to have wheel bearing failure on a 4wd with 60,000+ miles and that's off roaded. They just as likely would have gone out without the spacers. The only real issue I'm aware of (really happened and I saw what happened) was one spacer that broke into 3 pieces. That had a great deal to do with the fact the owner repeatedly used impacts to spin lug nuts, and would frequently over-torque lugs by a huge margin. Ya don't wanna do that. There's a truck sitting in my driveway that has over 200,000miles WITH spacers, and no issues. It's seen a lot of the mall parking lot......
