    Hi all-
I recently purchased a 2013 Tacoma Access Cab, 4x4 with the 2.7 cylinder. At first I was concerned about the lack of torque, because I do pull a 16 ft aluminum boat and a flat bed trailer with one atv on it from time to time, but then I read Tooter's posts about increasing the Torque by 30 ft lbs and reducing the peak by almost 1000 rpms. After thinking about it, I realized I don't need to get the V6, but would like the extra 30lbs of torque that Tooter's mods have made.
However, I have some questions and wondered if the Tacoma community could weigh in:

    1. I'm concerned with installing the Injet Long Tube Intake due to all of the controversy surrounding adding CAIs to trucks (see here) does anyone have conclusive advice about how the increased silica entering the engine will affect longevity? I may skip this mod because of this.

    2. If I do NOT add the Injet Intake could I STILL add the Flowmaster Series 50 Delta Flow muffler? Do I need to increase the intake in order to take advantage of the new muffler?

    3. Has anyone else done this and can you feel (from the seat of your pants) a difference in driveability? Again, my goal is to just have a bit lower torque peak and more torque so I don't have to downshift quite as much going through the mtns of Vermont.

    4. Suspension: anyone notice an onroad difference in comfort with the Bilstein 5100s? I mostly drive onroad, with light offroading (deer hunting).

I really like this truck quite a bit and thanks for the replies!

    -Matthew
