I need an AC schematic for a 2006 Tacoma 2x2. Typical blinking light. Clutch not engaging. Relay is OK.
I am familiar with some AC diagnostics and repair, but not lately. Thanks and any advise would be appreciated.

Light blinks, from clutch slippage. Your magnet is probably going bad. Or the clutch is worn out.

Thanks,I did notice a loud group when I turned it on the other day.
I evacuated the system true the low side and purged the high side without the proper hose. Pulled a vacuum for 1 hr and put in 1 lb of R134. Now nothing.

You can try to jump the switch on the low side, but putting 12v to the clutch coil should tell you wether or not it's in good shape. Haven't done anything with cars for 6 years now and I'm suffering from technician rust. HTH.

Thanks. Amazingly, I didn't do this because the clutch was working before I evac and recharged the system.PS: it what low, not know how low because I made a hose for the low side only. I'm cheap. I'll TS it later and report back with results. Time to get out the test light and jumpers.

Thanks to all. Jimmyh sent me a schematic. Traced it out. Supplied 12v to it and nothing. Clutch bad. The rest of the circuit is ok, even the charge. It will be cold here soon. Time to cut wood instead of working on AC.
