Front passenger seat question, 2nd gen Tacomas

I will be buying a Tacoma in the near future because of a feature that I saw on my friend's 2014 Tacoma. He camps in his Tacoma, actually sleeps in the cab. He removed his back seat and built a removable "L"-shaped shelf to replace it. The long part of the "L" goes across the back of the cab like the seat did, and the "bottom" of the "L" fills in the space between the back of the cab and the back side of the front passenger seat. He then folds the front passenger seat forward and it folds flat, level with the shelf he built, so that he has a flat place from the dash to rear of the cab to lay his memory foam mattress, on top of the flat back of the passenger seat and the rest of the mattress is on the shelf back to the rear of the cab.
Can you please post up if your Tacoma's passenger front seat also lays completely flat when you fold the seat back forward? This will help my know which model years of Tacomas also lay flat so that I can limit my search to these years. Thanks in advance! I really appreciate it.

David said he places a 5,000btu window A/C in the sliding rear window of the cab and the sliding glass window in the front of his camper cover on the bed. It runs off a Honda EU2000 generator he takes with him. He said that it is very efficient, and usually has him reaching for more cover during the night. I on the other hand usually sleep very comfortably in a hammock when I go fishing at Rayburn, but by the end of May it just gets too hot to sleep comfortably in it. Buying a Tacoma and rigging it like this would extend my fishing well into the summer: put the boat on the trailer after dark, pull up on a corner of the boat ramp, connect the generator and camp is set! I just need to know which year model of Tacoma to buy.

 

It doesn't lay backward, it lays forward, and only on the SR5 models IIRC.
