Just out of 5 yr warranty, changed my oil for the first time with Mobil 1. Planning on changing brake pads myself once the summer weather breaks. When do I NEED to see the dealer for service again? 60k for plugs (changed at 30k) assuming I don't want to do them myself? I could probably find this in the manual but what's the word, DIY'ers?

Nice, thanks. So plugs and LSD oil and a few other things. I'm hesitant to do plugs just because of the ramifications of snapping one. Then again, if they snap one I'll bet I'm paying for the repair time and not them...

No prob. I just want to be loved :tumbleweed:

It'd probably depend on the dealer you went to. I don't think my dealer would charge me if they snapped a plug. As a matter of fact, they quoted me for installing the rear brake flex hoses, and ended up having to remove the bed, which they didn't anticipate. They honored the quote. Although... it makes me wonder what instructions they're following if they didn't know exactly what they had to do; and concerns me more that they had to remove the bed when every person on TW that has done a write-up on the installation didn't have to remove the bed...

Just get a torque wrench and you shouldn't snap a plug, unless you cross the threads.

Plugs should just be snug, little antiseize and an 1/8 turn past hand tight.
