There's a DIY alignment thread on TW that shows you how to adjust your steering wheel to be dead-center if you don't feel like paying for an alignment..

He still may need his steering sensor to be recalibrated. I never hit anything and always stay on top of alignments and my sensor was something like 28 degrees off. The VSC activates at 5 or 6 degrees.

Alignment shop did it for free, but normally it's a $35 charge. That requires electronics to clear out and reset/recalibrate.

You probably bent some thing it does not take much to throw off the steering wheel angle have a reputable shop look at it.

While that may solve the symptom, the fact that the steering wheel is out means that some alignment part actually moved, which may or may not be (probably not) tie rod end, and it is a practical certainty that it wasn't even on both sides. Most likely one of the adjusters on a lower arm pulled out slightly.

Without a full proper alignment, it is likely that handling under certain circumstances will be somewhat off, and there will probably be uneven tire wear. Most likely significant wear to the inside edge of the tire(s), probably mimicking the effect of toe out.
