From a prayer I saw on Twitter this morning,

...Protect those who go in harm's way to save others, and those who suffer and die to safeguard our nation;

Give wisdom to our leaders, that they may make choices that prevent another day such as this;

Convert the hearts of those who seek our destruction, and banish from the world the darkness that allows such hate to fester and grow...

 

Rest in peace to all the victims on that date, and who succumbed to the effects of the toxic debris many years later! You will always be remembered and honored!

I was present in the Pentagon on 9/11 and my office suite was in the area struck by the plane. The area in the book cover below where you can see the flames is where we were - 3rd floor, D Ring. I was interviewed for this book and part of my interview is included starting on page 105 if you are interested. The book provides personal experiences on many people who were in the building from the Army Staff. You can download it as a .pdf to read it. Personally, I can't forget.

I hope our nation, every single person, will think back to that terrible morning when a nation rose from the rubble as ONE. We all forgot about our petty differences, just Americans arm in arm. My heart goes out to the men and women that stand on the front lines and the angels over there shoulders in the sky, keeping watch. The fire fighters, police and paramedics. All of you are hero's. You engage in selfless acts every day to keep us safe. Never Forget

 

God Bless You, your family, and all the men and women that served with you. Thank you for your service to our country and the incredible sacrifices you've made and continue to make...

I will never forget this day and hope no one else will either.

 

The husband of a cop killed on 9/11 returned his wife’s posthumous Woman of the Year award to Glamour after the magazine gave the same honor last week to Caitlyn Jenner.

James Smith told The Post he yanked the award off the shelf in his Long Island home dedicated to his wife, Moira, and FedExed it back to the magazine.


Moira, who died at the age of 38 after rushing into the south tower, was honored by the magazine a month after her death.

But after Jenner, 66, was anointed last week, Smith told the magazine’s editor, Cindi Leive, to take the award and shove it.

 

Does Jenner deserve recognition? maybe. Awards? no. But then again, it's glamour magazine....who's sole purpose it to make money off of what is happening in the media.
