Looking for a tent for my 2015 long bed. I have the Rightline Gear truck tent 179.99, it works but doesn't quite fit right. It seems to pull too tight in some areas, mainly the door. I had asked the manufacturer specifically about specs before purchasing. Any suggestions for a better fitting one, that's not outrageously expensive?

Thank you. That is the one I've been considering. I like that the Rightline Gear model doesn't have a bottom to it, super easy to set up and take down. I haven't seen any others that dont have a bottom.

i had the same problem with mine on my 07 but figured out adjusting the straps helped out HUGE, mainly though I hooked up the poles on the bed rail so they aren't hanging over.

sorry about the size of the picture...

Thanks! How did you get the poles to stay on the bed rail?

2 things, first off cut those damn poles to the right size. if they are anything like mine they are 1/2" to an inch too long to properly fit in the cloth holders for lack of better term... second you can drill a divit in the plastic bed rail for it to sit on/in you don't need to drill thru it mind you but just enough for the poles to have something to bite on. I haven't had any issues since... :spy:

on another note you need to look at the truck bedz air mattress. the thing doesn't loose air like almost ALL other brands and we even have one of the dogs in there with us when we go out. http://www.truck-bedz.com/6-cargo-box/

they just fold up in to a small bag about 18" long and 8" wide or so, a single person sleeping bag is twice the size easily

Just like a regular tent, I found the one I have to be really easy, especially to roll up and store cause it is open on the bottom.

@MGtaco2.7 seriously look at the Truck-Bedz if you are going to use it a lot.

Exactly. That was my concern of how it broke down.

that is awesome man I have used them in CO, AZ, and WY. granted the longest I have been in mine at one time was 4 days but was still great. Make sure to close the door all the way though... the bottom of our sleeping bag got a little wet last trip ha ha.

Which style mattress from Truck-Bedz do you have Aaron, the Expedition or the Weekender?

That can be quite a hassle imo. I rocked a ground tent instead so i wouldnt have to unload/load the truck bed every evning/morning.

I went with the Expedition, I wanted something that could take use and abuse and you always get what you pay for IMO.

Very valid point to consider I never had a problem though, it only takes about ten min to set up or break down. I am ready to roll before anyone else is done with packing up their tent if we are moving locations.
