What job makes 136k in a summer especially at 21? I might want to get in on that...legitimately curious. Highest paid of my peers took petroleum engineering jobs straight out of school for a little over 100k per year. That required travel to oil rigs, middle of nowhere, etc. I make much less :(

The salmon/ bottom fish and crab fishing industry for one. If they bust their tails and earn full share on a highly productive boat it can be done. At 21 some have already been through a few seasons and if on a lucrative boat at full share it can be done. Granted they are few and far between. But they are out there. Another industry that I have a few friends in that are pulling that kind of money are programmers for apps. They make simple apps post them and charge $3 for them. Then a couple of people get hooked and in a 6 month period 200,000 people have purchased that CHEAP app, there are kids that are in there teens doing this. There are opportunities out there. I just wasn't one that was smart enough to do it.

Thanks for the info guys. So just to update you I called my dealership and they said that I could modify the truck "so long as the modifications don't devalue the truck or make it harder for the dealers to resale if I didn't buy it out." He specifically said a lift is okay as long as it is done right and doesn't damage the truck. I was pretty shocked. So I think I might get the setup I had planned on (18x9 XD Addict 798 Black - LT285/65r18 Nitto Trail Grappler). As with the lift I'm not sure what set up I will get but I'm going to make sure I get it done right.

And to answer you're question BILL72, I manage a sales team. I recruit a team and we sell pest control door-to-door for 4.5 months every summer. It's how I pay for college. It's not an ideal job, incredibly hard, but I've mastered the skill and I bust my ass.

Good news brother, sounds like you got what you wanted. I hope it works out for you. Be forewarned, those are the same tires size and type that I had.

read my thread. I posted the link for it to make it easier for you to find. It covers the install of my lift, what I had to do to correct vibes and what I had to do to fit the Nitto trail grappler 285/65r18. pretty sure it would devalue the truck in their eyes. It doesn't look hacked up but is definitely more open than a stock truck and if they looked the truck over well enough, they would assuredly say it devalues the truck to charge you more.
