One of the perks to my job is I'm always getting free swag from vendors. Every now and then I get something that's even USEFULL!

We have 68 electric golf carts, so batteries are a major expenditure. I've got a couple vendors that really dig for our business. One just brought me a "try it in ANY vehicle you want and let me know how many you want to buy" Optima yellow top starting and deep cycle battery! My Taco still has it's original 2011 battery. Gonna see if this new Optima will fit (I think it will) and give it a whirl. I'm aware of the fact there are as many "anti-Optima" people out there as there is Optima fans. I guess in a while I'll see which side of the isle I'll be sitting on. It would be difficult to be too critical of free though!

Wow, awesome deal even though I'm one of the anti-Optima guys. After having several Optimas, the last two in a row crapped out in less than two years. I mostly bought them for looks anyway so not too big of a loss. I now just buy whatever is the cheapest and /or has the best warranty.

I've never used a yellow top though. Good luck!
