Cheap Mod for Rear seat storage trays

Hey guys,
I just wanted to let people know about a quick fix I did to my Tacoma in case anyone else has this issue...

I found that when I had my rear seats folded forward to use the flat plastic sections on the seat back for storage my stuff would slide around ( a lot). I went to HomeDepot and purchased a can of FlexiDip ( I guess it's the new version of PlastiDip), I removed the plastic trays, taped off the edges and gave the center textured area about 4 coats.

Although it's only been a little over a week I've noticed a big difference in my cargo staying put. No sliding at all!

 

Do you have any pics of the final product, OP? I'm interested in doing something to keep my cargo from shifting around too.

 

I'll post some pics today or tomorrow, it looks the same as stock since the FlexiDip is matte black.

 

Great idea! Definitely going to give this a try.

 

Here are a few pics for you guys. As you can see the colour is almost the same shade as stock, just a little darker. When I spray the other side I am going to give it a few more coats but so far it works great!
