Just pick up my first 2nd gen, a 2008 base model 4x4 access cab 4cyl, and I absolutely love it. This is my fourth Toyota truck. My first was a 1989 22re regular cab 4x4, then a 2000 V6 Tacoma 4x4, and I currently have a 93 2wd 22re for commuting and my 08 for off road. There's no doubt that I love these trucks.

I'm looking for more information on how to find a certain emblem that I can get made into a decal for my rear window in the 08. I first came across it on my 93 2wd. It was on the small hub caps that sat in the middle of the stock steel wheels. It's a pretty simple design. It's basically a "T" made with two triangles. Does anybody know the history of this emblem or where I can find a decal? Thanks!

I sketched out a picture in Microsoft Paint of what I'm talking about.

That emblem was on the steering wheel of my 76 fj40. Dunno if it was ever on decals or anything.

I think my 1981 pickup had that emblem on the steering wheel and hubcaps.

    I agree.

OP @Birdland , if you find a good template and someone to make it, I'd be interested in going in on a certain number lot buy or something. It'd be cool to add a little nostalgia from the 1981 truck to my current truck. Great idea!

Any sign/sticker shop can do it if you don't find someone on here.

Here is the one I have for my build. It was rough looking when I got it so I painted it. image.jpg

I just found an image of the old logo and put this together as an eps, PDF and jpg files. I noticed that it differs a bit from the logo plate.

Thanks for all of the input...I know it's a 3 dimensional logo so how do you think it would look as a 2D vinyl decal?

@Stickycal that looks awesome. I'd love to get one in white from you...I'm guessing about 10-12" wide total. How do I go about buying it from you?

I have white, black, gray, blue, red, orange, yellow, green, lime green, and pink. Oracle 651 vinyl is what I use. I do all my decal business on eBay to keep things legit. If you don't use eBay, then I can setup an invoice over Paypal. I'm at work right now, but for all those that would be interested, shoot me a PM with size and color. I can do logo only or logo with TOYOTA text.

Gotta think about all the options now ... after a nap (nightshifter). I'll gather my thoughts then get to that PM. Thanks!
