I have been driving for many years and have had my cars broken into twice, both had locking glove box's, and both times the box was ripped open, I will never lock another one. I don't leave my protection in my truck, too easy to lose, Thats why I got the carry permit. If we lived in a world where we could leave "Stuff" in our cars and feel comfortable about it, I guess I wouldn't need a pistol. jmop Doc

True, but even with the carry permit (which I also have) there are places where you cannot have it on you, like schools and courhouses. Then you may need a place to store it. The lock really isn't to keep thieves out but more to limit access, especially if you are talking about kids being around.
    Good points though.

Yes, That is a problem, maybe it would be possible to get a lock, or get one fabricated, for one of the compartments under the "jump seats" (if you have them), Good Luck, Doc
