Welcome to TW. I've not heard of anyone running a programmer on a NA 4.0 Tavoma. The dealer can do an ECU flash when you install a supercharger but it is permanent.

What is your setup? All stock? Lift, tires? What specifically are you looking for in terms of performance?

Currently only mods are the cold air I would like to boost gas mileage and power. planning on a lift with 37s in the future but for now I'm trying to see what's available on performance. Also trying to decide on an exhaust system.

Welcome to TW! If you are gonna go 37s, performance-wise you are gonna want to get a s/c and possibly regear, won't have much power otherwise with all the added weight of the 37s. I don't know that I'd go any bigger than 285s/33s without a s/c and regearing.

From everything I've read there are no programmers that provide any solid gains. If you're after power and 37's I would recommend saving your pennies and picking up one of the increasingly expensive superchargers. Other than that, the usual intake/exhaust/headers are the only way to squeak out any additional power, but the 4.0 is pretty much tapped from the factory.

What's a good brand charger and I'm leaning more towards 33s don't know why I said 37s. Also what's a good exhaust system and headers

The only S/C that works for our year is the TRD. But it has since been discontinued and everyone is hoarding the fit kits or charging inflated prices.

Since you have a 2015, if you want to keep your power train warranty you would want to go with the TRD s/c installed by the stealership. I have a 2014 dcsb and had the s/c installed when I bought it in late 2013. I guess now it's tough to find one or just the fit kit, not sure, so it might be tough. If you don't care about possible issues with the power train warranty there are a couple options I believe.

You are way late if you want a supercharger. They have been discontinued and remaining ones have skyrocketed in price. See this thread for known available SCs. Be prepared to pull the trigger ASAP for anything in the 5-6k range as they will go fast:
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/trd-supercharger-availability-update.377700/

Mpgs and power is going to take a hit with 33s. You are much better off with 32s if you care about either. Look at 265/75r16 or 265/70r17s and get them in C-load to save weight, or P for ultra light if you don't wheel where sidewall protection is an issue. If you are complaining about power at stock you are going to be significantly disappointed with power after larger and heavier tires.
