Hello all.I'm thinking of trading my 2011 Ranger Sport 4wd for a Tacoma. I'm having a hard time believing the 4 cylinder auto with a four speed transmission can get much better gas mileage than the six. I'm looking at an Access cab,4wd.
I'm already used to crappy gas mileage with the Ranger.so I thought I would go with the 2.7 4 cylinder. I don't need the towing power, just trying to save some money on the purchase.

I have an auto 4cyl. 4wd regular cab. Averaged just over 20mpg in the first year of ownership. That's a lot of short trips and moderate idling. The lowest I've ever seen was 18mpg.
