Great thread topic, but I think it would be helpful to post with the mpg, whether the vehicle is a 4x4 or 4x2, and maybe the specific model (ie- a dclb off road, more weight, different tires, no air dam, may post lower mpg then a different model). 21.4 mixed driving is pretty decent for a brand new truck.

those mpg from the instrument clusters very rarely match doing it the old school way... old school would probably be more accurate..

they are pretty accurate today, did the test with my roommates chevy cruze, the computer mpg versus miles driven/gallons used was only more accurate by .5 of a mpg

That is pretty good actually. Anyone calculate only highway MPG? I drive at speed limit of 75 usually. I imagine you can beat EPA estimates if you keep revs relatively low.

I could get any newer chevy to read 99 mpg but we all know that's not true.

Impressive. Most stock 2nd Gen V6 4x4s average 18ish. A 3+mpg jump is huge, don't think so? Do an annual fuel cost analysis between the two.

No way man. These fancy computers can't handle these sorts of calculations yet. We're years away from them being able to divide.

I reset the bottom after getting on the freeway. Did about 35 miles. Averaging 65 mph.

That is promising. In my '14 Accord Sport I4, my fuel tank average right now is about 26.5 mpg according to my gauge. I drive in a lot of traffic going to and from work plus I tend to have a lead foot at times so I don't expect to get these numbers when I buy one of these. As long as I crack at least 20 mpg I'll be golden.
