Trimming rear mudflaps?

    How flexible are they compared to the newer and absurdly long ones? I like the length but if they are too stiff will still be prone to being ripped off on rocks and in sand.

    It's the same material as longer versions so I think they would damage the same.

    I know this is old but did you do just the rears. Are the fronts shorter as well on the 5 lugs. Did you change the fronts also. Or are they the same whether its a 5 lug or 6 lug

    5 lug DC do not have front mud flaps, only rears.
    When I received my rear set I removed my fronts and matched them with new shorter rears.
    Simply marking them with a sharpie and lightly scoring with a box cutter.
    When cuts become deep enough bend them back and forth and they will snap right off.
    Sand them lightly and finish off with a heat gun on low setting.
    Hope this helps.
