Hey all, so as I am wiring my retrofit lights into my truck I came across a problem. Where do you connect into the OEM Input? It is from the Relay to the OEM Input but I am not sure where on the truck to connect into.

I was thinking about tapping into where the stock headlights plug in, using the testing wire retrofit gives you (just negative and positive wires). But I wasn't sure if just the positive and negative wires will work correctly with the high/low beam solenoid. IMG_1848.jpg

Or do I need to go into the fuse box??? Or this little grey thing that is next to the fuse box (right above my finger)???FullSizeRender.jpg

    Thanks!

When I did mine, the wiring harness that I got with the kit had all the plugs. One plug went to the factory 3-prong headlight plug and then there were two leads for the ballasts and two leads for the actuators IIRC.
    What all did you buy?

I just bought the BI-XENON MORIMOTO MINI STAGE III (H1) Univsersal Kit from theretrofitsource.com. I do not think that it came with a three prong adapter.

Yeah that should have the two plugs for the ballasts, two for the actuators and one to plug into the vehicles original headlight plug to know whether to be high or low beam

The first picture is of the piece used to test your projectors with a battery before install. the HD Relay if you ordered the right one should have a 3 prong on the end of it

Yeah theres a wiring harness drop down menu when ordering. You need a h4 harness.
Double check but i think its H4

Ok so I ordered the HD Relay: 9006. But you guys are saying that I need the MOTOCONTROL BIXENON: H4/9003, correct?
Also, is there anyway I can use the 9006 relay and just buy some cheap connector? The OEM Input on the relay I have is a female connection that would fit the type of connection in the first picture.

You may be able to undo the pins from your stock piece and plug them into the 9006 but you'll need to see which ones are high, and low beams on the 9006. Could hold you over until you get the right one

Double check the type of connector, there is info and threads on it, I just can't remember for sure right now.
You should be able to adapt the plug but it wouldn't be great.
Above^ is not a bad idea, but hard to secure into the plug.
Is the harness dirty? Call TRS and ask if you can switch it out for the right one, and double check the type

Yeah I had the Morimoti Elite HID kit with Mini H1 bulbs and harnesses instead of the standard H4 bulbs & harnesses. Plugged right in. Gotta have the good stuff.

TRS is a vendor on here too. Andrew would answer any questions you had before purchase :)

Also I really hope you did a projector retrofit in your housings...
