Cars.com shows a few listings, no pictures with any so they might all be en route. I'm curious about the ratios/clutch effort/shifter feel/etc.

I don't think they handed out any 6 Speeds to the Press to drive yet either.

Probably not many in the press who can even drive a manual anymore.

I ordered a 6MT 4x4 TRD Sport Access Cab in White... I'll let you know how it drives when it comes in.

Yes, I'm eagerly awaiting some thoughts on this. I really wanna drive one but it could be months before I get a chance, if I ever do. Might just have to buy one to drive it since dealerships never have them on the lot.

That clutch pedal is oddly placed. Not in a bad way, just different!

    Seems normal to me :notsure:

where would a normal placement have been relative to where it is?

Just seems a bit higher than the other pedals like my Frontier, most people adjust them so they are the same height.

Following this thread, as I am looking to buy a 2016 and do prefer a stick shift, but really disliked the clutch 'feel' of my 2013 Tacoma. (Weird feel from clutch pedal return 'torsion spring'..).

Hoping the 2016 return to a linear spring. (I have seen others complain on this). ;)

Don't tell me toyota has been putting "helper" springs on their clutch pedals...

I had to replace the entire clutch pedal assembly on my current car to get a linear spring.

Exactly.. Torsion return spring is a Bad idea, as far as I am concerned it really has made the clutch feel so unpleasant that I will most likely get an automatic on the next one (will be buying a 2016 next late winter/early spring).
Hoping to hear that the 2016 6-speed manual has a conventional return spring, and better clutch feel..:(

The pedal itself and the design haven't changed. On the transmission side the clutch has changed, and the return spring on the pedal changed (it's the only thing on the vehicle side that changed).

    Thanks,
    This spring change is interesting.
Will try a manual out before settling on the automatic (but with the new "sports mode" and 'ECT') the auto trans has its appeal. Only a test drive of both will tell.. ;)

No oddball spring could ever make me buy another automatic.
