Been reading threads for a week. Not sure what to do. Drive on the highway alot but make a yearly trip to the North and need traction. Love the look of the BFG AT KO but am worried they won't "feel" like the Dunlops that came on my SR5. My other choice has been Mich LTX AT2 Anyone regret buying one or the other?

    Too few to list.
    "not even a letter?"
BFG's are heavier than the stock tires. If you do a lot of highway driving, I suggest staying "P" rated tires. I've used Nitto's Terra grapplers in P's.

There is a noticeable difference of KO2's vs. the OEM Dunlops. They're much stiffer, and are comparably louder at all speeds. I love my KO2's, but I honestly wouldn't recommend them for someone who does more than 75% highway driving.

The majority of my driving is rural roads and gravel roads, which KO2's are perfectly fitted for in my opinion.

I went from LT's back to P rated. Really happy with the LTX AT2's so far.

I can't even hear my KO2's compared to the Duratracs I had.

Nice. You know what the weight is per tire?

I've had BFG AT KOs on two daily drivers, my old Ford Ranger, (LT235/75R15) and now my Tacoma (LT285/75/R16). I love these tires, the look is great, the ride is decent, and they really are a quiet tire for how aggressive they are. Obviously an LT tire is going to be a bit stiffer than a P metric, but it's really not as bad as you might think. As long as you don't run it at max pressure, which some people mistakenly do.

    LTX AT2 = 41 lbs ea.

I ordered them from treaddepot.com when they had free shipping. I used to order from tirerack.com, but no complaints with my last two orders from tread depot.

Got the KO2 in 265/75/16 and love them. Dipped my wheels this morning. They look tough.

Apparently the KO is being discontinued or they are on some sort of massive back order. No shop in Nashville had them or could get them. image.jpg

That's half way through. I taped off the lug nuts and sprayed the caps, too. It's all back together now but don't wanna drive it until the AM. Will post better pics when I get the truck cleaned up properly

Don't regret it one bit. Its nice to have a tire that can be on for winter weather.

No regrets; its a truck, not a car. I expect it to haul stuff, and navigate un-paved roads. Still when I switch from driving the company full size van back to the Tacoma, the Tacoma handles much better. I like the stiff sidewalls and firm grip for its road feel on the road.
