I'm a little late to reply.. Just tried it with the official Nexus case and it works fine.

To get it to work in the cubby behind the cup holders, couldn't you drill a hole in the bottom of the cubby, feed the wire through the hole so the charger unit could sit on the floor of the plastic cubby? After that you could cut your sticky pad to size in the cubby over the charging unit. That would give it a stock look.

Sorry to bring up this old thread but what Qi charger did you use? Is there an Amazon link by chance?

shell, 12v & dual usb in the bed, dual usb in dash, qi charger in cc, inverter mod w/ plugs, 12v & dual usb behind cc . Needs 2 or 3in coil overs, front bumper and rack
I am doing this mod right now. Funny enough, just found this thread as I was looking for a cover for the pcb. I had picked the same install location and was in process of cutting off the "ribs" when I came across this. I had already run an always ON add a circuit from when I added a dual USB charger socket into the back of the change tray below the 4x4 rotary switch. Was always planning to add another dual usb and a 12v socket in the back of the console, So I figured I'd just add the Qi while I'm working on the other mods. Might as well do the inverter mods while I already have the console out as well.

    I am using:
Itian Qi Wireless Charging Three Coils DIY PCBA
DROK Buck 8-22V 12V to 5V/3A DC Power Converter Micro Usb Cable

Mod went well. Super easy and works well. I don't use a sticky pad. Put a rocker switch into the center console and wired a 12v accessory port in there, Added dual usb and 12v accessory on the back side of the center console (along with 2 120v plugs from the inverter) and then ran the Drock buck converter micro usb back to the Qi.
Circuit is on 16 gauge wire from engine compartment fuse box (15amp add a fuse) into cab, 12v to 5v (2.1amp) dual usb (located behind the change shelf) > rocker switch > 12v accessory port > 12v accessory port > 12v to 5v (2.1amp) dual usb > Drock buck converter micro usb (3amp). This means I can use 4 amp accessories in the 12v ports without overloading the circuit or wire (assuming I have things plugged into every port, usb and qi) . Rocker switch will turn off everything down line from it leaving the first dual usb live all the time.
