    Hey all,

Just got my 15 Double Cab LB TRD Sport. After reading this forum for days non stop, decide on lift/wheel/tire combo. I'm planning to do this when my OEM tires wear out, but of course I want to do it now instead ;). My question is - do the standard rims/tires have any kind of demand for them on Craigslist? meaning if I do the lift/wheels now, will I be able to recover some of the money by selling OEM tire/wheel combo while it's still new?

    Thank you in advance

Yes and no. Selling the stock set is possible but difficult to do. It depends on what market you are selling them on, there is massive supply here but less demand. I put a lift on and new tires and never looked back even though I haven't sold the old set. Bottom line: If you have the money, get the lift and new set up

I decided selling the stock rims and tires didn't return enough so I kept them and when I go to sell the truck the after market rims and tires which will be hopefully in higher demand and I can sell them quickly and have a better return.

Also I got a gash in my sidewall the day after I put on my suspension so funds weren't there for new tires and luckily I still had my stock rims and tires so Im currently rocking them!

Thanks, all. Doesn't sound like I can get any money out of stock wheels. I'll wait till I at least will wear out the tires. this is my 5th new Toyota, I don't recall stock tires lasting much longer than 25K

I sold my stock wheels and tires with 5,000 miles on them for 500 bucks. I wasn't hurting for money, just wanted them out of my driveway.
