I understand higher center of gravity. Do not plan to do any off roading. Why are they garbage? Does this include the RCD?

Because drop bracket if you are 4x4 you have to cut a cross member, which in my book make crap weaker.

I really like the RCD based off what I have researched. No cutting of my frame CV angles are ideal. Better clearance and travel. And I get 5" of lift. Looks like a great product.

I'm pretty sure that you DO have to cut the factory crossmember with the RCD kit.

If by offroading you mean running hard and fast in the desert, and are set on a ridiculous amount of lift, you will need a very expensive long travel IFS setup. If offroading means trails and rocks, and are set on a ridiculous amount of lift, you will want to do a solid axle swap. Pretty much anything else will turn your almost new truck into a piece of crap. My advice...buy a junk jeep for fun and enjoy your nearly new Tacoma. Cheaper and happier in the end.

Looking for a quality 5-6" lift that behaves well on the road I will not be doing any high speed off road riding OR crawling. The most my tacoma will see is a dirt road or hunting trail nothing extreme.

If you are looking for a good quality lift like stated above rcd is a great kit along with bds. What a lot of people don't know on here is that the zone kit is the same thing as the bds and also is a lil easier on the wallet. You can also get the basic kit and run the longer bilstein shocks on the front which is used on the rcd kit. Yes I have run this exact set up on my previous truck so I know it works. Also the drop bracketry on the bds / zone 4in and 6in kits in front is identical. How they achieve the extra lift on the 6" basic kit is my installing a small preload spacer between the top of the coil and the top coil mount. Any other questions feel free to ask.

Awfully expensive game of dressup. Just IMO and no offense intended. But my point still stands that to prevent turning the truck into a POS there are only two very expensive options.

I understand with proper installation particularly on the RCD lift the front end driveline (axles, cv joints) are virtually parallel to the ground which is good. No added stress on those. What about the rear drivetrain with the blocks added? There will obviously be a change in angle of the drive line. Rear universal joints, carrier bearings, etc. Are these angles significant enough to cause any concern?
