Hello team, What option do we have to get a weather temp installed? I'm confused, my TRD Pro did not come with one. I do not want those stick things...I need something for real world(outside temp).

most people here to upgrade the rear view mirror to a GENTEX version, that can have temp + compass in the corner of the mirror.

Someone on here sells them, has all the wiring etc you could need

I'm adding one to my '15 Sport

Look up Bobs Mirrors, you can add a mirror with compass and outside temp and if you are lucky like I was there will be a wired plug up in the headliner.

The year of your truck matters in terms of how it may, or may not, be prewired.

My '13 base was fully prewired for all the mirror options, including rear camera display. I picked up an OE mirror from the for sale section here, one with auto dim, temp, compass and rear view display. I then found a camera on ebay. Had everything installed and working in about 45 minutes.

The Pro has Homelink built in to the mirror, so replacing the mirror is probably not the best option. The Entune HU has the temp,in the weather app, but if you are not in HD range, you will not get the temp. I'd like to,have an option to have a real temp reading outside of the HU. Any other options outside of the mirror?

I installed one on Bob's mirrors, a 453 it has compass, temp, auto dim and garage openers.
You need to install the temp prob and fish it through the firewall.
I have a 2015 and all wiring was there except the temp prob wire.

When you pull the overhead console down the plug and wiring is there.

Some 15 have wiring and others don't. As shakerhood said look in the headliner.

I have the 2015 Limited. It has the weather app in the HU but I really don't like it. It sometimes shows the weather 20 miles away! You think it may have all the wiring needed to show the temp in a mirror?

No reason you should not have the wiring. My 2015 has the plug and wires up there, the only wires I had to run were to the temp sensor.

I just ordered the CIPA 36400 from Amazon.. $129 shipped to your door. Seems like it'll do the trick..

I got so used to having a Compass, Outside Temp Gauge, and Clock in my 08 that I hated not having them in my 15, took care of that with the mirror, only thing left to add now is the digital clock.

just a FYI on the temp probe mounting location. I have mine right behind the grill which most of the time is good BUT when doing some wheeling the heat from the radiator will mess with it. SO dont do what I did. Me thinks more in a fender well will work better . . .

Yea I was planning on putting the sensor behind the grill, but I'll look at other options. I appreciate the heads up! Got it in a couple days ago, just haven't had a chance to install it yet.

I mounted mine behind the grille near where what looks to be another sort of temp sensor.
