Ordered some new OME bolts to install when putting in my AAL. Got everything torqued up and realized I forgot to put the little thin spacer back on the bottom of the leaf pack. I had to remove the u bolts and centering pin to add in the spacer. Do I have to trash the u bolts since they were already torqued to 73 ft lbs? Truck never made it off the jack stands...

Thanks for the reply. I reassembled everything, drove ~50 miles, and retorqued the bolts. I was surprised a couple of the bolts turn maybe 1/4 turn before hitting 73 ft lbs again. I guess things shift around a bit after driving.

I would recommend checking again after a week, then two weeks then a month. Should be good to go after that

First month of ownership... This month I'm removing front air dam, and also Rhino lining the bed.
You can torque bolts over and over and over again within spec. They are designed for it and should have no issues.

Well, not entirely true, all Ubolts are subject to thread stretch which is natural . given the physics & purpose they're for (holding axle assembly to the truck) And I gauge their re-use by the amount of stretch present when Loosening them (not tightening as most think) But yeah, I've re used mine many times without ill effects after doing so...
