Resetting Apple ID email on iPad

I "inherated" an iPad at work from my supervisor who passed away several months ago. The iPad is used for keeping track of all our equipment, lock out/tag out audits and recording when equipment is locked out. I have to update the LOTO application using the Apple store. The Apple ID is my late supervisors email and password and can't download the new APP unless I have his password. I have asked several times for someone to help me change the Apple ID and can't get any help. What do I do to change the Apple ID without knowing the password besides using a BFH?

 

Is the app an internal business app created by your company? Or is it on the public App Store?

If your supervisor is the ONLY person who can download it, you might be out of luck. If not, go into settings and sign him out of the App Store/iTunes and sign yourself in. Then go download the app again as yourself.
