I used the same tape. No problems here on my two. I use them all the time when I cook on my tailgate.

Question to all you who screw in a bottle opener on the side of the bed: do you need special screws or anchors to hole it tight and handle the "torque" of a bottle? How long are the screws? I want to do this, but only if it's installed tight and won't loosen over the years.
    Thanks,
    -PH

I'd imagine some washers on the back would greatly help, shouldn't be too bad. unless youre using that sucker 50 times a day

If I do NOT have a TRD or the outlet in the bed, will my 12' PreRunner still have the inverter wiring in the console?

I don't think so.... you can pull the switch and see if there is a plug for it... also look for the relay under the hood.

Who cares what anybody thinks on here? If you like it that's what matters. I don't think it's particularly complimentary to your truck, but who the hell am I. If it works for you then I say great job! I can't fabricate so your one up on me in that area. If you put something on a public forum, own it, good or bad. Some may lack the tact to say things in a respectful manner, but look beyond that to see if there is a reason, and take that as constructive criticism. Welcome to the forum, enjoy the good the bad and the ugly that is TacomaWorld.

You can pull the tail light assembly out (easy it's (2) 10mm bolts and grasp and pull taillight straight out, it's a 60 second job!), and access the rear section of the metal pillar to apply any backing washers / nuts.

I did that to get my cargo system in.
