I gave 15,500 for my 08 AC 4x4 with 24k miles on it. If this was a 4x4 then it would be a different story. I wouldn't give over 15 for it.

I'm assuming this is a CA car? Maybe that makes it better, but I wouldn't be paying real money for an 11 year old car. 19k is what I paid for my SR5 Access Cab 4x4 brand new in 2004. I would just worry that in a year you would be upside down on it, especially if you drive a lot of miles. But who knows, maybe it would last forever and you don't care about the future value. Think about what this truck will be worth after 150k miles. It will be really old.

For the time being forget about the condition and low miles. Look at it from a financial point of view. It is way overpriced. If you can pay cash so be it, but if there is a major accident what is your insurance going to pay. They are not going to pay you more than it is worth. Same if you total it. They are going to pay book value. Secondly, if you have to finance it, the credit union/bank will not loan you anywhere near that amount of money. That means the rest of it comes directly out of your pocket. I sold a 2007 SR5 in 2011 and the book was 20,000. Back in 2007 I paid 25,000 for the truck before TTL. An eleven year old truck in very good condition might bring $10,000.

Exactly. $14,900 or less is the right number. Then when you put 75k miles on it, you aren't quite as upside down on it.

KBB says somewhere around 18,500.... believe it or not. I still dont think I could justify spending that much on a 10 year old 2wd truck.

Check out nadaguides.com for a fairly accurate price. My bank went by Nada clean retail for loan value when I bought my truck. I would say that's a decent deal but that's really up to you. Tacomas in general are hard to find around my area. $10k gets you a 200k mile truck. Around here they're close to new and $25k & up or older with a ton of miles for $10k.
