The last of the 2nd Gen

Just bought the last 4x4, black, long bed, 2015 in the USA! It was a hard choice if I should wait for the 16 or miss out on the last of the 15s. I went with the 15 just because I don't like the front of the 16 (look like a Prius) and I'm not sure what they were going to price them at (I paid 32k with a 5/60k warranty and the Toyota care BS) I traded in my 2014 Raptor and they gave me 50K for it, So now I have some extra walking around cash and money to dump in my new truck... My plans for next week are to buy new tires (maybe wheels) thinking 265/70/17, 2" level kit. Anybody have any other good suspension mod ideas? Whats the best set up for front tow hooks on the sport? Thanks Guys!

Lucky to have some extra cash, the forum has a way to make you spend it.

 

Congrats i would have picked the 15 due to the 16 supposedly being a new model. Which comes recalls due to putting it out so soon and crap they haven't come across yet. I will never by a first year model.

 

Congrats on the new truck, I'm sure you'll love your '15. Just be careful not to speak poorly or even look at a Gen 3 the wrong way. Current and soon to be Gen 3 owners will attack you, spewing statements.. "the only reason you're bashing the Gen 3 is because you bought a 2015 and you're jealous"

 

@DrTaco15 Congrats on the 15'! I too bought the last, new Gen 2 Tacoma in my area a couple weeks ago. (2015 4x4 Sport DBLB, Silver Streak Metallic). I was not pleased with the look of the Gen 3's and also would not buy a 1st year model. Unfortunately, I do not have the cash you have to do the expensive mods right off the bat, but good luck with your build! This is my second Tacoma, had old two 4Runners previously as well.

Being as you are starting from scratch like me, let me know what you come up with! I'm glad to trade mod info with you.
