I have a cold so I played it simple and just cleaned up the wiring for my amp. One of the signal cables had been crushed under a seat peg at some point so I changed it out as well. I need to do some other stuff but I was tired and got lazy.

Did some housekeeping today, new Silverstar bulbs, replaced burnt corner lights with amber LEDs, finished the alternator install with new belts and changed the oil and installed this magnetic drain plug i bought.

I have the same plug in my BMW, and i always get a pea sized amount of fine metallic paste when changing the oil. I made the mistake of trying to install an extra one i had last time. Toyota's plugs are M12x1.25 thread, most European cars are M12x1.5

    2015-09-17 13.47.23.jpg

I was getting a little OCD about the covering off the #1 coil wiring coming off. Using this nifty pin out tool, i removed the pins from the plug and used some 1" shrink wrap to replace the covering.

    2015-09-17 16.40.07.jpg

Then i rewarded myself with a baked sweet potato and angus tenderloin.

I would say I need to flex my truck out to end the debate on all these clearance issues when mounting shock outboard. I have 3.5bs rims and 255's. Maybe i will this weekend.

I coated it with rattle can primer after doing the satoshi metal insert but I wouldn't recommend doing that. The primer reacted negatively with the paint and didn't want to adhere correctly. If I were to do it again I'd let those guys do it all knowing it comes with a warranty anyway.

I can't genuinely recommend them. Look around for a smaller paint shop that might give you a break on painting parts if you disassemble/reassemble yourself. At the Maaco I went to, I always felt like they didn't care about my stuff and I was just another order to fill. They even gave my fender flares back with painted rubber weatherstripping, which they "fixed" by painting black. I recently went back because the rubber is cracking and falling off but they said they couldn't help me because it was just sun damage. The bottom line is find someone who cares as much about you truck as you do.

Didn't think about that. I'll check them
Hm, I'd be surprised and angry if they are seriosuly warped already
Not sure what set screw you are referring to, and I do not have ABS. The old pads looked to be evenly worn

I think he is talking about the two bolts that hold the calipers on. Pretty sure they need to be at 90 ft lbs.

    BPV couldn't hurt I think.

Some cars, usually European, have a flat hex screw to hold the rotor in place before you put the wheel on. It can cause rotor wobble if its not fully seated when you bolt in the wheel. Looking at the rotors, its not the case with our trucks. You can disregard my thought on this, it was just something ive dealt with before but doesn't apply to our trucks.

When I put my 2" lift on do I have to align all of my tries or just the front?

My daughter was handed this by a Rockies girl at the last baseball game we went to. I use it as a cleaning rag around the house. Its first job was to mop up my cat's puke.
