Just got some bilstein 5100's. put them on my 2015 4x4, double cab, trd sport. With installation only set me back $380. (Alignment was an extra $89). So far I'm loving them and make the truck ride much better than stock. Also helps with cornering, not so much lean. The 1.75" setting makes the truck sit perfect level. (Considering I have a 70 pound brush guard) I would recommend the bilsteins to anyone looking to get a little height to the taco. I have my rear at stock with nothing done.

The oem black shocks on tacomas are a joke. Toyota must interchange them with the sienna. I had 2 blow out within 25k miles on only road use! I can't speak for the heavy duty bilsteins, yellow ones, sports.. But, the 5100's are excellent on this truck. Stiffer ride, yes, low body roll, yes, no lunge at stops, yes. A more capable ride now. I feel your joy.
