Got 4 inch Pro Comp Lift on my 2001 TRD , looking at getting 305/70/R16 or 285/70R16

Looking to see if guys who have been running this kind of setup are rubbing bad while off-roading?

I hear there is rubbing problems on frames on with 3 inch lifts.

    A little a this, a little a that...
I had a three inch lift in my first gen with 285-75-16. I needed spacers on the stock wheels to avoid rubbing the frame and had to beat the pinch weld and trim the fender liners on the front. That's was it. Super easy to make 33s fit. I don't know about the 305s.

Rubbing is very common on our trucks. Your probably going to need a body mount chop and a lot of fender trimming.

Covered in stickers and chrome stick-ons for extra horse torques and foot powers. Icon sticker gets me tons of travel, dozens of milimeters.
I'm on a 3" Icon lift with 285/75R16s with 4.5" backspacing. The wheels allow for no need for a spacer to keep from rubbing the upper arm like some people experience, but, I did have to trim back the fender flare. Specifically the lip inside where the mudflap would attach (flaps are gone and front ones don't stand a chance going back on now) but I still hit at the pinch weld. Trying to decide a solution for that one.....

I've heard you can help a lot of it by having a shop push the caster forward and account for the added camber after. But you may want to talk to an alignment tech who is well versed in tacomas that offroad.
