Installed a set of LR UCAs last night. I made a mistake and torqued the castle nut to factory spec (81 ft lbs and a bit extra to get to the next slot for the cotter pin) instead of the 45 ft lbs called for in the SPC instructions.

My truck is currently at the alignment shop. Should I loosen a re-torque to 45 ft lbs once the alignment is finished or leave it be?

If I do re-torque, it may wind up being exactly the same due to having to align the castle nut.

I don't want to mess up the alignment or have to replace the ball joints if I turned it into a "torque to yield" thing like u-bolts.

Definitely retorque it, i would have done it before they messed with alignment, but it shouldn't matter after the fact

Got it back from the shop and re-torqued the bolts. Wound up needing 95 ft lbs to get the castle nut to line up after the initial 45 lb torque. It was on the same notch as before, so no harm no foul.
