    Yes. I installed an engine auto trans and t-case from a 4runner. Installed 4runner wiring harness, dash, seats etc. The trucks interior and motor were trashed. Traded my tin top samurai for the truck and doner runner. Great truck my wife and daughter won't let me drive it.

    Tacoma is stock and staying that way, Pickup is TBA as of now.
    Back when regular cab was the only option, 1979 4WD regular cab PICKUP! I still need to get it running though..

    I wish Toyota would build another real regular cab compact truck like this again and sell it for only say 5k out the door, basic everything, no power windows, locks or doors. Just a basic 4WD truck just like this one. They'd sell like hot cakes.

    My 2004. Got it in 2006 with 60,000 miles. Was my first vehicle, had it for 9 years. Hated to let it go, but from the syncronizers starting to fade, the ignition barely working, clear coat flaking off, and drivers side door not opening, I figured it was time to let it go. Will always miss it.

    I have an '03 single cab about to turn 87,000 miles and it's my favorite vehicle I've ever owned. A new Tacoma or full-size does nothing for me, but a 1st gen single cab makes me randy.
