good example is using my allocation paperwork as posted here : https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...costs-master-list.388345/page-6#post-10741858

here is the diff list :

Package - Toyota Invoice - Regional Invoice - MSRP

    TO - 579 - 579 - 650
    CT - 119 - 146 - 179
    E5 - 060 - 074 - 090
    MF - 095 - 116 - 140
    3P - 219 - 278 - 395
    R6 - 479 - 576 - 649
    FP - 2701 - 2728 - 3065

    Totals :

    4252 - 4497 - 5168

as you can see there is just a $245 difference between what Toyota charges the regional and what the regional charge the dealer. but in the grand scheme of things, If you sell 50-60k with slight markups, it adds up. the end buyer wont notice this slight markup since the window sticker only see's MSRP.

its the little things that throws off a deal from a buyer that is well informed and is expecting a certain price and what the dealer is given. now granted this is nowhere close to what the dealer actually paid, but its as close as we are able to get as a baseline for dealing.
